phoenix

Crystals hang on fairy wings
Her breathing shallow as the day begins
Sun pale and dims to frosty sky
Tears frozen to faces who lie

She sits atop a rock, cold
White and brown ground a blur
Leaves, lifeless, stiff
Reminders of lost memories

Isis stumbles onto forest floor
Drops of green where death stood before
A phoenix erupts, sky red in birth
Fairies sway to the hum of mother earth

  1. she walks away, into the midst..
    leaving behind footprints..
    for her followers to commemorate,
    reminisce her glory..feel the gist..
